I am the cellist of Eden String Quartet and at one point was also the
web master, head of public relations, manager, booking agent, and
director of order fulfillment! (Director of order fulfillment was
basically the fancy name I gave the job of bringing packages to the
post office. I guess the title made me feel important.) Now though,
my sisters have taken over those roles as I am a cello performance major
at the University of Illinois, studying with Brandon Vamos. I also give
cello and piano lessons to 26 adorable kids on a weekly basis and love it!
When I am not doing music, I spend every possible minute I can with my family.
All of the little kids- my siblings Isaac (6) and Eva (3), and my nephews Samuel (2)
and William (6 months)- make life so fun and exciting! I have great memories of
growing up on the farm as well. My siblings say that I always got out of farm
jobs by making myself super valuable in the house or coming up with something
urgent to practice for, but I still think I did my fair share of bedding down
barns and bailing hay.
I have had so many blessings in my life, but the greatest one in my life has
been salvation through Jesus Christ. It is my hope that His love would be
be evident in the music of Eden String Quartet and in our lives. We love
